I have excellent IT and typing skills. I am fully competent in the use of a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office (including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project) releases 2007 and 2010 for Windows and 2008 and 2011 for Mac OSX), SPSS (up to version 17.0) and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3 & CS4 - including InDesign – having published a number of web based reports using this package).
Web Technologies
I have experience of authoring standards compliant web sites using XHTNL, HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. I have also some understanding of client side scripting using PHP, SQL nd MySQL.
Data Analysis
I have worked extensively with large datasets stored in Microsoft Access and SQL databases and I am fully able and confident in table and query creation, data manipulation, reporting and import and export functions both using windows based menu systems and SQL scripting language.
Report Writing
I have good report writing skills developed over a number of years both as a student and employee. I have authored quarterly, bi-annual and annual summary bulletins and statistical reports, academic papers and other ad hoc items.
Teamworking & Personal
I am able to converse with people at all levels of the workplace and I am able to organise my time and workload effectively and work to tight deadlines. I am a fast learner and throughout my career and academic studies I have taken pride in my ability to work both independently and as part of a team - during which I have adopted a number of roles depending on the specific team and task including team leader and facilitator.
